The Dog Ranch is run by Husband & Wife, Canine Trainers and Behaviourist Keith and Rhonda Irwin. Located just outside Cavan town overlooking Shantemon Lake, the Dog Ranch is a Luxurious Socialised Home Boarding, offering owners a stress free and fun way to board their canines while they are away.

With 15 years’ experience in the Canine Psychology, Behaviour and Training industry we combine our knowledge and expertise into the daily running of The Dog Ranch.
Our ultimate goal is to help fulfil the needs of dogs and their owners while also relieving the stress owners experience when having to leave their pets behind. With daily updates through our social media pages you get to experience and enjoy the fun your pet is having on a daily basis. As we specialise in Training & Behaviour it gives our Doggie Hotel great place for dogs of all ages to learn and socialise while having lots of fun. Our first class socialised boarding is a real home from home with all day play & socialisation making sure your loved ones have a holiday too!

We believe in a balanced and motivational approach to training & behavior modification with a strong foundation in positive reinforcement. By using positive reinforcement combined with a balanced approach we make training fun for both you and your dog. In our one to one sessions we show you how to read your dog’s body language more effectively, how to spot potential problems, and how to get your dog to listen and respond to you. A Well Trained Dog is a Happy Dog!
We also hold Puppy Training sessions, one to one in your home. Our private sessions are also tailored to you and your puppies needs. New to our programme is our early learning ‘Play & Stay School’ which gives your pup a great head start in life.
